The Under 19 Cricket World Cup has unearthed an incredible talent out of Sri Lanka.

A day after the tournament was thrown into disarray by a controversial match-winning 'Mankad' dismissal, 17-year-old Kamindu Mendis has fans talking about something other than the ugly finish to West Indies' win over Zimbabwe.

Mendis is primarily known for his batting abilities, coming in at first drop in a left-hand stance.
However it's his exploits with the ball that are taking the cricket world by storm.
Mendis has the ability to bowl off spin with both arms, bowling with his left against right-handed batsman and with his right against lefties.

He snared four wickets at 15.25 as Sri Lanka progressed out of its group as well as 81 runs at 27.00, with a top score of 68 against Pakistan.
