Manish Pandey ignored, Mohammad Shami back for Asia Cup, World T20

Star batsman Virat Kohli, who was rested for the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka , has been brought back for the two tournaments.
Some eyebrows were raised when Shami's name was announced but chief selector Sandeep Patil said his committee zeroed in on the Bengal pacer after several discussions. "The advantage for Shami is that there's still enough time for him to get fit. He has been one of our best bowlers, he has recovered and he has started bowling."
Pandey, who made a stunning hundred at the Sydney Cricket Ground to lead India to victory in the final ODI against Australia, would be gutted at being left out but Patil said his name was discussed and he will be in the selectors' scheme of things in the future.
